I'm a senior at Grinnell College, majoring in Computer Science with concentrations in Statistics and Digital Studies. At Grinnell College, I am working as an AI Research Assistant at Professor Weinman's Lab, Senior Interviewer at the Office of Admissions, and Lead Instructional Coordinator at the Grinnell Middle School.
I am currently an undergraduate researcher at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute through the NSF REU Program. I work at Professor Paulo Carvalho's Optimized Algorithms and Knowledge (OAK) Lab to investigate how LLMs can optimize mastery-based testing to provide personalized learning experiences for computer science students.
Last summer, I worked at Columbia University as a part of the Amazon Summer Research (SURE) Program. I worked with Professor Brian Smith's Computer-Enabled Abilities Lab (CEAL) to explore how augmented reality (AR) can be used to combat gentrification and preserve oral history in Harlem, New York.
My research interests lie at the intersection of human-AI interaction, social computing, learning sciences, and computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW). I hope to work on projects that have meaningful social impact and am deeply committed to creating an environment where individuals from all backgrounds come together to enhance human lives.
A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea but my family is from Omaha, Nebraska. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, going on really long walks, and spending time with my friends, family, and dog. Check out the 'Favorites' page for more!
